Thank you for visiting my website - at the moment I have no kittens. A litter is planned for later in the summer 2008.

I have long had an interest in Siamese cats but only found my first ones in 1998 when Poppy and Zoë came to live with me.  More about them on my Queens page.  I have been breeding Siamese cats since my first queen Zoë was able to produce her first litter in 2000 at the relatively ripe age of 18 months.  Zoë is now spayed.  Suki and Kiki are now the queens of Boberg.  They are mother and daughter - both are Blue Point Siamese with the loveliest of deep blue eyes.  More about them too on the Queens page.

NEWS
My queens' honeymoon, unfortunately, did not result in a pregancy on this occasion. The 'girls' will now have a short rest and when they call again, they might be taken once more for another honeymoon in late summer. If the matings are successful, babies may be expected in late autumn. Sorry I cannot be very precise at the moment as my girls' rhythm isn't what it should be at the moment.

There has been a long delay as I have been waiting to see if they showed the tell tale signs of pregnancy and the time has elapsed now so it is fairly certain they are not pregnant today - but hopefully, it will happen soon.

I shall try to keep this space updated.

For those interested in seeing my kittens, I am in Buckinghamshire.  I like talking about cats and welcome visitors to see my kittens and queens.  I  post on here when kittens are available for you to see and will let you know when the next litter is planned.

Breeding siamese cats is a hobby that I take seriously.  First and foremost, my queens are my pets - their welfare comes first.  If they are not ready, fit or keen to have babies, they rest and play.  My “girls” only have about one litter in any year and certainly no more than two litters in any 18 month period.  My vet is only ten minutes away from my house so my girls are very well looked after medically, should the need arise.

I used to just breed cats and not worry too much about showing but then it came to my notice that there were criticisms based on my not being compared to other Siamese cats.  Having entered a few shows with little Kiki under GCCF rules, I have met some nice people and learnt a lot about shows.  I did not enter enough for Kiki to have been made up to Champion so I may not know if she could have been a Champion or not.  Personally, this does not worry me too much since my main aim in breeding Siamese cats is to produce lovely healthy kittens for loving family homes as pets.  From time to time, Suki has produced kittens who could have done well on the show bench.  However, this is just biased speculation on my part - its probably best for my guests to come and see for themselves.

Boberg Siamese queens and kittens born from autumn 2007 onwards are now registered with TICA. As from September 2007, I am a member of CatTica cat club.

Boberg Siamese are already getting some great feedback about the kittens who are settling in well to their new homes.

Thanks to Mark and Jo for sending this image. Here are Bryn (nee Bryn) and Edwin (nee Placido). They are looking very happy with their loving family in Dover.

SHOWS

I have started to show for two main reasons:-
  1. to be able to offer better advice than previously - people who visited wanting to adopt a kitten also asked about showing. In the past, with no experience of showing, I admitted this but, where a kitten showed no faults, would not withhold consent to show. Having shown my queens, it is now possible to give people more information based on this experience. They will then be in a better position to judge for themselves whether to show or not.

  2. to see other cats not just as a visitor to a show but see how my cats do when compared by a judge against others of a similar age, colour and status. A cat show is also a good place to meet friends and others who also breed so that I may find new potential husbands for my girls when the time comes, to avoid excessive in-breeding. I have been lucky enough to have some excellent mentors and I thank them all for their generosity in sharing their knowledge and wisdom.

Saturday 10th February 2007 – Croydon Cat Club show, Maidenhead, Berks
Kiki was entered into the Croydon Cat Club show in Maidenhead. This was a nice friendly show which Kiki enjoyed. She did very well, being awarded a first in her open class, first in two side classes and second in one side class. I think that means that she may go to another show since she took it all quite well on the day.

Kiki was also awarded a medal as a token of recognition for “Best of Breed” in her open class. Since she came first in this class as an ‘Adult’, she was also awarded her first Challenge Certificate. If Kiki collects two more of these Challenge Certificates, awarded by two different show judges, she may be a “Champion” – however, there is still a long way to go before that happens.

"Kiki Settles In."
"By 2pm some rosettes appear ."
"By 4pm all classes done."
Saturday 25th November 2006 – The GCCF Supreme
Kiki was eligible to enter the Supreme this year because she had gained a first in one of her open classes this year. She had to enter as an adult because she was just over ten months old. It was a very large, strange environment – quite different to other GCCF shows. On this day she was up against the best of the best and being such a little beginner, she had a brave outing but did not come away with any grand medals. However, she got a nice rosette for having been brave enough to appear on the day and had lots of kisses and cuddles throughout the day.
Saturday 5th August 2006 - Blue Point Cat Club show at Hertford
Kiki was entered into the Blue Point Cat Club show at Hertford. Again, she had to go into a kitten class since she was only 2 days short of being 7 months old.

Saturday 10th June, 2006 - London Cat Club show at Staines
Kiki, (5 months old), was awarded 1st in her Open Class, and was entered into a further seven side classes in which she was awarded 1st in two, 2nd in three, and 3rd in two side classes. She also took home a Best of Breed rosette.

This was a pleasing result considering that none of my other cats had ever entered any shows before and little Thalia Kiki was the first cat or kitten in my household ever to enter any kind of competition - all in all, my little princess had a good debut.

I must say thank you to my 'mentors' Doreen Sillis and Kat Waddon for their kind advice about shows and showing generally and for the encouragement of friends from Siamese and Oriental Cats Online Club.
